[Review] Tom Ford Nude Dip Color Quad

Hi Ladies,

I am back with another review. I am trying the best I can to keep this blog up and running, so please bear with me if sometimes I might go MIA ^^

Tom Ford Nude Dip Color Quad is Tom Ford Fall 2014 collection, I know it's way too late to do a review on this product. but still I am doing the review, I just thought it might be helpful for some people who are still eyeing on this collection.

Tom Ford Nude Dip Color Quad  (Source : Tom Ford Website)

"THE CENTERPIECE OF THE TOM FORD COLOR COLLECTION. EACH EYE COLOR QUAD IS DESIGNED WITH FOUR OPULENT COMPLEMENTING SHADES THAT ACHIEVE MULTIPLE LOOKS, FROM A BOLD, SMOKEY EYE, TO A SEXY SPLASH OF COLOR AND EVERYTHING BETWEEN.

FORMULATED WITH ADVANCED COLOR PROCESSES, THE FOUR LUXURIOUS FINISHES - SHEER SPARKLE, SATIN, SHIMMER AND MATTE - OFFER A SPECTRUM OF INTENSITY AND EFFECTS AND DELIVER INCREDIBLE SHADE FIDELITY AND OUTSTANDING ADHESION."

That is what Tom Ford said about the Color Quad. I bought this quad in Hong kong when I visited the country for holiday, honestly I bought this quad along with the lipstick to try the TF brand. So this is actually my first TF Quad. The sales lady told me that this was very popular, I had to pick it up my self and try it! There's a reason why I chose the color "Nude Dip" rather than others, it's because I am more of a neutral kinda girl so I thought this color is the safest. I also wanted a good quality palette for travel, that's when I decided to bought it.

It's not so smooth because I have used it before taking this picture.

Absolutely Stunning!

Super Loveee!

The color are beautiful. However it's incredibly shimmery! I mean I knew it has shimmery & metallic but it's a bit too much for me. I've worn it and I must say I get quite a lovely shimmery of the color (after blending it out). I have oily eyelids, so I always apply primer first. But sometimes it can come off a little too shimmery at times (if you do not blend it correctly), I do enjoy wearing it but it's too bad I do not Love this product. I will not repurchase again. Here are some pro's and con's I can think of...

Pro's :
  • The packaging indeed is luxurious for the price, perfect to through in a purse. It's a new to go for those who travel a lot.
  • The shadows textures are very soft, pigmented, buildable and easy to work with.
Con's :
  • The price is insane. Very expensive, I just think it's overrated. I'm trying to justify spending this much only for a Quad.
  • Color are a bit too shimmery / metallic for me personally. and you will experience some fallout applying the eyeshadows
  • The brushes are pretty much a low quality and it has sponges, it does not scream luxury product.
I really hope you enjoy my review on this Quad and it can help you decide if you want to buy this Quad or not. let me know in the comment down below! I am thinking about making a tutorial using this Quad, hopefully I will *fingers crossed*

[Review] Lancome Rouge Absolu Creme in Sugared Maple & Long Lasting Undereye Concealer

Hi Everyone!

How are you people doing these days? I hope everyone's alright and doing great! It's rainy season in Jakarta, the weather mostly cloudy and it's making me feel gloomy >.<

I am back with another review of Lancome Products. There are 2 items I will be reviewing on this post which are "Lancome Rouge Absolu Creme in Sugared Maple & Long Lasting Under eye Concealer". As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to Singapore sometime ago I shopped quite a lot that's when the duty free people also being generous with their samples.

"Lancome Rouge Absolu Creme in Sugared Maple & Long Lasting Under eye Concealer".
The first item I'll talk about is the "Lancome  Long Lasting Under eye Concealer review"
who doesn't like concealer? anyone? I guess everyone loves concealer, thank God someone invented it to cover our redness, blemishes and pimples on our face. All we can do is find the correct shade and good quality concealer. Sadly not every concealer are always good and promising in terms of price, coverage and others. I personally don't use much of concealer, lucky enough to be born with a quite clear skin. but now and then I also will have acne and redness, and I always use concealer to cover it when that happen.

First on to the packaging, the original size is "0.52 oz/ 14 g" and the one that I have is "0.24 oz / 7g"  smaller than the original size. but I think both size are good for travelling, and also light. a bit down side of this packaging is that if we squish the tube a little bit and a lot comes out at once - way more than needed, also The way the packaging is designed makes a bit of a mess inside of the cap.

I am very picky with my makeup, especially concealers. I found most of concealers dry out on my skin and make my face look creepy, but not this one! It is moisturizing, full coverage, very natural, lightweight and give slightly dewy looking.

Amount I put on!

Harshly Blend

Perfectly Blend.
As you can see from the picture it's really dewy looking and I'm in love. I highly recommended this for those who are still in search of a perfect concealer for their face. In my personal opinion this is the best concealer I have used so far, and it does not dissapoint!
.
.
.
Now on to the second item "Lancome Rouge Absolu Creme in Sugared Maple". This is a nice warm red with undertones of bronze/orange. Like all Lancome products this one also, has great quality. It applies smoothly and makes your lips look hydrated, It doesn't have a scent and has faint gold shimmer that isn't chunky at all. In my opinion one swiper is all it takes to get full color.

Been using it a bit too much

Looks reddish in room lighting
Looks a bit orange in outdoor

I will definitely repurchase this when the time comes because it's one of the most flattering lipsticks I've ever owned. I do not have any complain about this product, I think it's worth every penny. It's very flattering to a fair skin and warm skin tone, thus I would recommend you to pick this up and give it a try! except those with fair skin. However I am no sure if this product is still on the market or discontinued, I think you can find out easily on Google or Bing so search away and let me know if one of you ended up with these products. I would love to hear your thoughts too...

[Review] Narciso Rodriguez for her

Hi Guys,

I know I have been out of radar for like forever, well what can I say I actually got the cliche excuses which is I have been busy, busy, busy with my life. I have no idea how the hell I went by these past 2 years and not blogging anything about it. I guess there's just been too much on my mind and I did not care to blog about it. Anything new about me is just that I moved and got a new job for my self. So far life is good...

Anyway enough of me rambling about my self, let's get back to the lotion I will be talking about.
Sometime ago I went to Singapore and bought quite a lot of stuff in Changi airport and I actually got a free sample of "Narciso Rodriguez for her"

Narciso Rodriguez for her Lotion
To tell you the truth I am a lazy ass when it comes to lotion, hence the dry skin of mine. the dryness level is just unbelievable, sometimes I waited till my skin feels itchy and when I accidentally scratch it and I can feel the burning skin. It's really awful. The moment I got my hands on the lotion I gave it a try and I must say it was very strong, the amount I put on my hand was not much.

As I rub the lotion, the fragrance came more strong. But...around 10 or 15 minutes later, the fragrance soften and I can really smell the orange and musky. I LOVE the smell, I did not like it when I first put it on because the smell was a bit too strong for me. I am not sure if you can tell from the picture above, you can see that on the right side of the hand it seems more moisturized compare the the left side.

In my opinion this lotion is not something that I will wear in public, because the smell is too strong. There's a great chance it will annoy some people and make them run away from me. therefore this lotion is not for people with sensitive nose and dislike strong smell also it's not for someone with dry skin as it does not hydrates skin much,

But.........

If you are someone who loves strong smell with a touch of orange and musky fragrance, I will suggest you to grab one of this. The smell itself will soften as the time pass and make the smell more more more nice. I am not sure how much this cost, but I am sure you can find out in their counter or online. Sorry I can't help you with the price.

Till next time...!!
